Lights Red
What would cause my xbox360 to shut off and flash 2 red lights?
My xbox360 lays on its side (2 red lights are flashing on the left side or if it were standing up it would be the top 2 red lights). What happens is that I will be playing something and it will randomely cut off the game and the screen will go blank while the xbox remains on and is flashing those 2 red lights.
It’s overheating. Stand it up vertically and make sure nothing is blocking the ventilation holes. You can also buy a cooling accessory for it. It’s basically a bunch of fans that blow air on it to keep it cool. It is a little noisy but it works.
